TROFICOLOR DENIM MAKERS, is a Portuguese family-owned company created in 1956, that has been developing and adapting to the ever-increasing demands of the textile market. The core business of the company is to provide DENIM and PFD (prepared for dyeing) fabrics for the fashion industry.
In our collection, we present a wide selection of different articles, developed with raw materials and production processes that respect the environment.
We have a large offer of fabrics with different weaves, compositions and weights, including sustainable articles (Organic cotton, Recycled Polyester, Recycled Cotton and BCI Cotton), traditional denims (RED Selvedge), Yarns Dyed, Flannels, Corduroys, Velvdenim, Lyocell, Linen/Hemp and Workwear fabrics.
We highlight our Upcycling concept, that has always been present in our DNA and was introduced in our collection in 2019. This concept consists in creative reuse of existing fabrics, avoiding textile waste and new productions with the inherent consumption of water, chemicals, energy and CO2 emissions.

UPCYCLING CONCEPT

Upcycling concept, a concept that has always been present in our DNA throughout a journey that has already been in existence for 67 years. In 2019 we already introduced some of these articles into our collection and since then their importance has increased exponentially, currently representing around 35% of our universe of articles and with a tendency to grow. This concept consists in creative reuse of existing fabrics, avoiding textile waste and new productions with the inherent consumption of water, chemicals, energy and CO2 emissions. These are timeless fabrics, marked by time and history that give uniqueness and distinction to our customers' creations.

COLOUR DENIM MINERAL DYE CONCEPT

To give more colour to the collection, we have developed a line of colour denims which, in addition to being 100% organic cotton composed, have the particularity of natural dyeing from mineral origin. No use of chemical products from preparation to finishing, use only bio-resins and natural enzymes. Being natural dyes, in addition to being environmentally friendly, they are not harmful to the skin. Articles are presented in earth tones in a symbiosis between international fashion trends and the connection to Nature.

ECRU CONCEPT

We keep our focus on reducing resources and processes with the ECRU concept: fabrics ready-to-wear in their natural state. A line of articles, of different typologies and weights, such as twills, canvas, ripstop, oxford and other structures presented in their natural state - Ecru for a clean and increasingly up-to-date look. These fabrics, finished in their natural colour, avoid the use of dyeing processes without need for additional operations after the garment is made.
