Having been in the industry as both a manufacturer and fabric agent for several years, my focus now is to work with mills which believe, as I do, that ESG considerations are more than just a passing phase, and that an investment in sustainability is not an option but a necessity.
DEVEAUX S.A (FRANCE). The mill has been investing heavily for years in environmental and sustainable production of prints, colour wovens and jacquards, all made in their own mills in France. Used water is recycled and energy comes from low-carbon providers. Most of the qualities can now be produced with BCI, GRS and FSC (incl. EcoVero) certified yarns as either an option or by default, and the mill is also Oeko-Tex 100, STeP by Oeko-Tex and Made In Green by Oeko-Tex certified.
LA-TEKS (LALE MEFRUSAT, TURKEY). More and more of their lace and tricot qualities are made using GRS-certified recycled polyesters, GOTS organic cotton and NAIA acetate and are also Oeko-Tex 100 certified.
